Rain forecast to fall in parts of UAE
DUBAI – Parts of the UAE are likely to get more respite from the heat, with cloudy weather and some rainfall expected in parts of the UAE.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), Friday’s weather will be generally cloudy and hazy, particularly in the northern, eastern and southern areas of the country where rainfall is expected.
On Saturday and Sunday, the weather is expected to be “partly cloudy to cloudy in general and hazy at times”.
“The amount of clouds will increase over most areas, accompanied with some convective clouds and different intensity rainfall over scattered areas,” according to NCMS.
On Friday, a hailstorm continued for a second day in Fujairah, a day after heavy showers lashed parts of the country. The rain, accompanied by moderate winds, caused temperatures to dip in most parts of the country.
On Friday, the highest temperature hit 45 degrees Celsius in internal areas, with the lowest to hit 19 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas. DAJ/Expat Media
