MANILA – The Amanpulo Resort on Pamalican Island led CNN’s list of the 11 best remote luxury resorts to stay in the Philippines.
“Whether you’re in search of an all-inclusive luxury resort or a chilled-out beach villa, the Philippines has no shortage of remote retreats to whisk intrepid travelers off the grid,” CNN said.
International celebrities have stayed in Amanpulo, which has its own airstrip for chartered planes. A trip from Manila to Pamalican takes an about an hour.
The 89-hectare Pamalican isle is part of the Cuyo group that straddle the sea between Palawan and Panay islands.
